Korenica

Korenica is a very small city in the municipality of Plitvička jezera. It is also the main center of the municipality. It is located in the foothill of the mountain Lička Plješevica.
It provides many natural resources, but the main factor for the development of Korenica's tourism is the vicinity of the National park the Plitvice lakes.
The Plitvice lakes is the oldest, the most famous and the most visited national park of Croatia. It is consisted of variety of different lakes - big and small ones - many small rivers and creeks all connected with beautiful waterfalls.
It is the biggest natural complex and resource of Croatia and is definitely worth a visit.
The biggest part of the population of Korenica offers private accommodation.There are plenty of restaurant in Korenica where you can try some of the dishes specific for the continental part of the country.
